STACY ERSKINE
With over 17 years of experience teaching and directing theatre of all levels, Mrs. Creel has directed or designed over 250 productions. Her passions lie in Directing, Dramaturgy and Improvisation. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Theatre Studies with a minor in Education.
Theatre Arts enriches the lives of all, from the production team backstage, to the ensemble onstage, and to those in the audience. The arts possess an actionable way to teach skills and tools that are not taught in other subjects. Mrs. Creel's classroom is accessible to every student, and she is passionate about fostering creative, student-centered learning. Although Mrs. Creel expects a student to gain a better knowledge of the theatre, her overall goal as an educator is to teach her students confidence, teamwork, and responsibility. Whether or not the students pursue theatre further, these traits will be valuable for the rest of their lives.
